Pop star-turned-actress Christina Aguilera opened Super Bowl XLV with a memorable performance of our National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner” — yet it was unforgettable for the wrong reasons.Aguilera apparently forgot the lyrics to the fourth line of the anthem, and instead fumbled through with something like this: “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming?”
The real line?: “O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?”
At least she got the “watched” part correct.
